Wax Fangs History

Wax Fangs are a type of novelty candy that resemble vampire fangs made from edible wax. While specific details about the history of Wax Fangs candy are not widely available, here's a general overview of their concept and popularity:

Creation and Inspiration: Wax Fangs were created as a fun and playful candy inspired by the iconic fangs of vampires. They were designed to be worn in the mouth, allowing people to mimic the appearance of vampires or playfully engage in Halloween or costume-themed activities.

Wax Construction: Wax Fangs are typically made from a type of edible wax, which is molded into the shape of vampire fangs. The wax is firm but soft enough to be bitten into or chewed.

Edible but Non-Chewable: Unlike some other wax-based candies, Wax Fangs are not intended to be fully chewed and eaten. Instead, they are meant to be worn in the mouth, played with, or used as a prop. Some people enjoy sucking on the Wax Fangs to soften them slightly before biting into them.

Limited Flavor Varieties: Wax Fangs are not typically known for their specific flavors. Instead, they often have a subtle, slightly sweet taste that is not the primary focus of the candy. The main appeal lies in the novelty of wearing the fangs and the nostalgic fun they provide.

Popularity: Wax Fangs gained popularity as a novelty candy item, particularly during Halloween or costume-themed events. They were often sold alongside other seasonal candies and party favors.

Availability: Wax Fangs can be found in candy stores, party supply stores, and specialty shops that carry nostalgic or novelty candy items. They are often packaged individually or in small sets.

Wax Fangs have become synonymous with playful and imaginative fun, allowing individuals to embrace their inner vampire or participate in lighthearted costume play. While the exact origin and detailed history of Wax Fangs may be limited, their enduring popularity as a novelty candy demonstrates their appeal as a whimsical treat for those seeking a touch of mischief and Halloween-themed enjoyment.

Wax Fangs Memories

Oooooooo good old Wax Fangs. It started on Halloween. I had a great costume and I was ready to go scare people. I was walking outside and saw a Wax Fang. It would fit my costume. So I went into the store and got the Wax Fang. I opened it and it smelled good. I put them it my mouth and they looked cool. I got two more.

After that, I started walking to a house. I still made the Wax Fang intact in my mouth. Well that's what I thought. When I got to the first house they started laughing at me. I didn't know why. Then I saw my face in a mirror. My fangs weren't there. but my teeth were red. I went back to the store to get more. On the way to the store I eat the ones that I had. ~ David from New York

When I was a kid, I got some wax fangs in a cereal box I had been bugging my mother about for months. She had bought many boxes of this cereal only to get regular wax lips instead of fangs. When I FINALLY got some fangs I had them for about 10 minutes and my brother stepped on them by accident. I never got another pair, and 20 years later, I still mess with him about it. ~Matt from Texas
