Bit-O-Honey is one of our more divisive offerings – you either love it or you hate it! Bit-O-Honey was first made in 1924 by the Schutter-Johnson Company of Chicago. At the time, Bit-O-Honey was a new kind of candy bar consisting of six pieces of candy wrapped in wax paper and then packaged in a wrapper. In the1970s, a chocolate-flavored version called Bit-O-Chocolate was made, but this product was later dropped. Other spin-offs included Bit o' Licorice and Bit-O-Peanut Butter, but these unfortunately didn’t last either, and today only the original Bit-O-Honey flavor is still available – for those who actually like it!
